Well, I just uploaded a new version that fixes that
overlaying problem, and it should take up a few less resources too.
(so minute that noone would notice though ^_^)

^_^ i love my nintendo emulator! *huggles it* i don't think I
am ever going to finish it though, I got discouraged when I got
zelda working on it, I was only getting negative feedback. It's hard
to want to do something when noone says good job, only "you suck."
for no reason other than to be mean. Thats why I am still fixing the
exp program and doing whatever I can to help anyone, I'm getting a
lot of positive feedback, and all you people are so nice
^_^

Yes, I understand that. I know emulator authors get a lot of
hate mail and junk mail. Some even get viruses sent to them. A
common advice is not to post your email if you're an emulator
author. A lot of people do not appreciate your work, but there are
some who do, you know.
Still, I myself send nice mail to emulator authors, although
I don't use nintendo emulators (cause I never had one so I don't
know the games on them )

i'll d/l the new patches and exp programme tonight, hehe yes,
posative feedback is always good, at least constructive if not
posative as the first person to use the internal version of the
exp viewer (and the guinea pig, lol), i think you've done a great
job
(i was the one
that patched the ragnarok.exe and not the regexe.exe, dont do that,
lol, infinate loop of errors, )

Slow poke eh? I have other things to do you see. I don't have
much free time on week days you should know, I'm just posting this
in my break.
I'll get back home at 6:30 p.m tonight, then I
might have the time to convert my codes for the new patch.
Just for your information, my memory patch is 600 bytes long
(Yes I've counted them hehe). This patch includes 3 things actually;
Exp View, In-game Command Framework, /exp command. So, it's a bit
longer to update, eh?
Yet, my program is a lot more
professional
I tried
yours last night by the way, in case you think I make assumptions.
It's not bad, but try mine and you'll see...
Later.

I'll try yours as soon as it's out, I was kidding about the
slow poke thing, just being silly ^_^, i understand most people
don't have as much free time as I. I am a highschool senior, and
it's a complete blowoff ^_^ My patch adds in 900 bytes, it takes a
bit to update to, the assembly editor program I use is wonderful,
but very slow to use. How is it more professional? :'( i thought
mine was professional.
[edit] what programs are you using to
edit it out of curiosity? I'm using a program called OLLYDBG that i
found on http://www.programmerstools.org./
(someone linked to that site from these forums, to whomever did
that, and linked to the tiny personal firewall too, thank you very
much, I find them both very very useful.)

I doubt your program makes a 900 bytes patch to the
Ragexe.exe just to print the exp values beside the bar heh. Or
perhaps I didn't understand well what you meant by that.
So
you're still in Senior, you still have plenty of free time hehe.
Which also means you're younger than me heh, and I must say I'm
quite impressed of what you can do, also considering you're a girl
I'll probably update
it tonight, so you can give it a try. Yet, you could just extract
the Ragexe.exe version 49 in your RO folder and use my Arse Kit,
then the ShowIt v1.0 would work, but anyway.
EDIT: I've
never heard of that OLLYDBG, what is it exactly? I'm reversing
programs and coding ASM patches with SoftIce, a very powerful Kernel
debugger. I also work with disassemblers, either Win32Dasm or IDA
Pro.

Well there is no more overlaying problems, but a new one.
When in collapsed mode, I can not see the second line of numbers,
the job level, and you can not move it, which might be a feature, if
it is, make it optional, it could come in handy for those that put
it over their char.

NighTRO: my mistake, I jurry rigged it up real quick and
didn't even think about the bugs it would create ^_^, hold on, i'll
fix it. And arsenic, the program I named is just like w32dasm,
but it actually lets me export to an executable, for some reason,
win32dasm won't let me :-\ I will look at that IDA Pro very soon, it
might be easier to use. And softice crashes like no other on win2k
advanced server edition :'( I wasn't thinking, my patch that i
made stores each byte as an address (4 bytes) and the new byte,
because I was to lazy to set it up properly ^_^, so it's actually
900/5bytes=180 bytes. Thats how large the patch is.

NighTRO and DarkByte, I have fixed everything you mentioned
except remembering collapsed mode (i'll do that tonight, I have to
get to school now.) and making it patch Ro's Ram when you run it
instead of the exe. For some reason, when I try to change the ram
values, it won't let me, it's protected somehow :-
[edit]
I'll also make it easier to access the menu when in game, i
accidentally took out some code.

Sasami,
Just to remind you, I've posted in page3.
When I run the program, it's always minimized in taskbar.
(Same as ExpProgram for patch49)
Would you add maximize
command so I can bring program window?
Thx

hey, do you think you could add in an experience/min thing in
too? I am sure it would be easy, you are already planning to add in
a clock.
This would help us figure out where the best places
are to fight. You know, whether to fight in places where you rarely
spend lots of time healing, or in places where you kill one or two
monsters then heal. It would need a start and stop feature too.
Thanks!
