I know there is a lot of information here, sorry, but it's
good reading, I promise! ^_^
Well, it's been a little under
2 months since I've played, and I feel much more refreshed. I said I
would probably be coming back, but I have decided to stay away till
final is released after all. One of the main reasons is the bots,
that bothers me. I would love a reset. It's unfair that people can
be high level with virtually no effort, and they deserve to be
wiped, and the only way to get them all is a reset, i wouldn't mind
loseing my lv. 50+ character and 25+ other characters if it ment we
could all start over together, legit. I found a way to crash them
using a buffer overflow, but I'm not going to release is cause it
seems that people are harmonious in saying no external programs. For
this same reason I have decided to not update the exp viewer and
make it still show when your basic info window is collapsed, sorry
to all you people that wanted it to work like that. I highly
suggested to any of you who are quitting or thinking about it, to
just step away and wait for final, when it's pay to play, and the
true good people stay on and play with us, and when gravity actually
has everything fixed (if this is possible). I may continue making
external programs when final comes out, if it is needed. I have
talked to Meph and Gravity both about some ideas I have had,
including starting a 3rd party RO program site that had all the
clean non cheating external programs that anyone made, and that way
everyone would know of a safe place to download these programs, and
they could be assured there were no Trojans or such (the bot was
legit for a long time until the sex crash was put in it, although I
wouldn't host something like that, it's a cheat, and someone else
released a version with a key logger in it...) but anyways, it fell
through. I will include Gravity’s letter, although it makes me
laugh, the situation of them not understanding a word I say is
slightly bothersome. I also thought of another project I would like
to do, but for this one I would need official approval from gravity,
I wouldn't even start without it, but again, I don't think they
understood. It may be something someone else wants to try to take
over and hope gravity lets them implement it in a while - and that
is to start a site of new character sprites that people make, and
keep a good database of them all. Personally, I think it would be
awesome to have my character look just like Sasami (like below...
i'll get some better scans later ^_^) to everyone else in the game
(which I know how to implement, but it would require everyone else
downloading the stuff too, but if there were hundreds of new
sprites, I don't think people would hesitate downloading it to see
and pick from them all). A message to Meph and the other mods:
please don't delete this, or move it to another forum, it will float
off the front page after a while, let it run it's course please ^_^.
Oh, one last note of business I have to take care of, please stop
bothering the poor mods about their policies, it is their forums,
their page, their decision. They can do what they want, all the
arguments have been made and the Admins decided to stand their
ground, so just leave them be. Here are the letters.
(The
auto-calculate program I suggested in the letter would require the
merchants to be at the keyboard, but I decided to abandon the idea
because gravity won't give an official answer, I haven’t edited
these letters in any way)

I would like to thank gravity for all the time they
put into trying and making the game better for us, and I
would especially like to thank you Christy for letting us

I have decided to include some other
suggestions (I have many more, but I decided to only include
the important onces.)
An npc at the entrance to boss
maps telling you how much time till respawn
A way to
pass your zeny around to your other characters (I think a
bank is being made for this.)
A way to remap your keys
(like just click something instead of ctrl+click to hit
something till it dies.(
And finally, the roda frog card
gives a resource error.
The bot situation has become
pretty bad in beta, I wouldn't mind a server reset in the
end after this is fixed, but whatever gravity decides I will
be ok with. |

actually...
she left about a month and 3 weeks ago, and she hasn't played since
(to my knowledge), she told me she deleted it from her computer ^_^
