cool.. I got the grf extractor and extract the files.. wow.. lots of stuff.. ^^;; I see the files now.. now I just need to get my g/f to make me some nice maps 
ok.. I extra the grf into this directory
C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagnarokOnline\data\texture\À¯ÀúÀÎÅÍÆäÀ̽º\mapdata
and made a folder in this directory
C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagnarokOnline\data\texture\À¯ÀúÀÎÅÍÆäÀ̽º\map
so.. if I made changes to the maps that they already have in mapdata (which is just a purple box since it is "clear") and copy to the "map" directory I should be good to go correct?
P.S. thank you soooo much for helping me with this... once I get the map made.. I'll post some samples if you like them I'll send them to you

hello everyone!
I think I was the first one who started the big conversation at pak0 about dungeon maps. Later on in that thread I revealed how to do it
anyhoo, I was browsing Apez (don't worry! I'm not an evil hacker!! T_T) and apparently there's this new tool called GatWiz which lets you view a gat file. Basically it's a pixel accurate "something or other" of the maps in Ragnarok. Basically it took geffen's gat file and made this:
I changed the colours around, and it's pretty good so far
and at the moment I'm making a large zip which will have the raw kind of graphics (like above) for all important maps that are missing.
I've tried using the maps from eroite, but a huge white square in the pramids doesn't look so good, so I'm busy making better alternates instead ~_^

BTW, it's best that you resize the images to 512x512 because graphic cards like it when you do that

not yet, but when I went to culvert the other day, I saw that the ground texture needed to be brightened up a little ~_^
*BakedBeans is very picky
I'm just doing the easy maps for now. Maybe I'll do the pirate ship or bibilan next ^_~ |
