It's been a month...and I've been doing a lot of research on this. Unfortunately, my latest attempt required a reformat and reinstall of windows.
Is there anyway that I can bypass the firewall and play ragnarok?
I've been researching SOCKS, but I don't understand it...not one bit.
Can anyone help?

^^;;
Let's see...I'm on a network with routers. I guess hardware firewall with special software installed (because my school claims that it limits the ports rather than block them).
I can either:
- Widen the hole (I don't know how)
- Go around it (through port 80, http)
- Disguise it, because i'm really not sure what the firewall filters though, TCP or UDP...I'd have to guess UDP only.
- Or Punch right through.
- Maybe something else

Have you tried using a software such as
AntiFirewallâ„¢
Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP
Firewall Terminator & Anonymizer
"AntiFirewall is software that promises to get around firewall restrictions. It claims to work if you are in a networked environment that has a firewall but still allows you to surf the Web. Instead of you connecting directly to services, such as FTP (file transfer), ICQ (an instant messaging system), or IRC (a chat service), AntiFirewall first creates a connection with a public proxy server before going on to the destination server."
I never used such a program so I don't personally recommend it, this came from a google search. |

I haven't tried it. But I think the idea behind it would work. So far, my luck hasn't been that good when it comes to implementing proxy workarounds.
I tried Hummingbird and http-tunnel. They don't seem to fit together.
I tried Sockscap and http-tunnel, Didn't work right...but it did detect a connection.

tunneling through a port such as 80 would be the only way, if you had a proxy set up correctly it would work also. |
