like half of my party can't because they don't have cc or only debit or for whatever other reasons... (i'm the old one of the bunch) lots of people are trying to ask others to sign up for them, but the question is does the person who owns the account have access to the cc number and exp date of the card paying for it... that's what makes my hesitant, not that i don't want to help party members. heck, i wouldn't mind doing it for free. a good idea (if i had the card) would be to use amex blue's one-time use cc numbers. then i would help out with less worries.
in short, i'm in.

Lol, my parents hated me playing anyway! They said it was a waste of time. There is no way they would pay for me to "waste my time", as they put it. Well I'm gettin a job next summer, so I guess if there isn't already a free emulated server for me to pay on, I can ask my sister to use her credit card and I'll pay her, but still, thats half a year away =\
Oh, if any of you people who are going to play want to do me a favor, I would much appriciate it. Try to message somone named geckoBBQ (old RO buddy and I never thought it neccessary to get his email) and drop him my email, lagwagon at cox.net. Tell him its Kneo.

I'm not going to play. Why pay good money to gravity after what they have done to us. I can't seem to find the logic behind paying for a game that isn't even finished, afterall it is we who's volunteering our precious time to beta test for them and report all the bugs, so why should employees have to pay for their employer?
Another thing, gravity have screwed us in the past many times and broken many promises. One of them is that they are not gonna go pay to play when the server comes back up. All I'm saying is that by supporting them now, you're just feeding them with filth, and giving them more incentives to promote a more corrupt and broken down game.
This is only my opinion, so I'm sorry if anyone of you is offended by my comment, but gravity ticks me off so bad. Anyways, I decided long ago that I'm gonna quit playing RO long before the end of beta2, so I'm not going to even look back at this. |

I wont start again for the time being, but I may in the future.
I half-agree with sakura - Gravity has not done a great job of
maintaining their stuff, and I think I'll wait a bit for things to
settle down. This is also why I like forums like this - I can find
out what's going on without dropping ten bucks (or whatever)
trying to find out.
That and I dont have a job or money.
These two may be connected,
though my testing is as yet incomplete.

Oddly enough, the opposite is also true. "Those who can't handle reality escape to fantasy."

I'm not really sure what you mean...but I'll assume the definition and reply with this:
Ragnarok Online is a great game. I just can't cure my addiction. The only reason why it's hurting anyone is because of the company.
That's my defense ^^

The turbulent log ride that is modern life can only be counteracted by an equally so erratic escape into fantasy. The need for this varies inversely with a person's ability to process stresses of day-to-day living and can change quickly from subject to subject. If this equibrium breaks down in that a person is exposed to too much unmanagable stress or becomes too entrenched in fantasy becomes unstable and requires rehabilitation. Quickly.
*crams another mardarin orange into his mouth*
Mmmmmm.... Oranges...
O_o
Oh right.
My point is that everyone needs both. Some need it more than others.
If you cant tell where reality ends and fiction begins, get help. And while you're out there, find some for me too. I think there's a troll in my car and a good sword is nowhere to be seen.
*sucks down another orange*
Best case scenario: The magical technological faeries decend from the heavens and grant all humans infinate and limitless provision for ever and ever, but not such that there's no reason to go on expanding and developing things.
REALISTIC Best Case Scenario: That 20 in my pants pocket makes it through the washing machine ok. Forgot. Crapola.
