I can't seem to see the picture under my name. All I get is an empty box with an x in it. It's like the picture can't be found. Is this because it hasn't finished loading yet?
Would converting the picture from bmp to jpg work?

yes bmps are usually bad formats for the internet, also, try a different host, such as imahosting
[edit] just looks at your images properties, i don't belive geocities supports remote image viewing (or does it?.. it could be the url but im sure you checked that...)

Thanks para for the idea! It's fixed now, though I don't know whether or not geocities is gonna come after me. Seems like it'll take a lot of bandwidth.

That's what I did I'm impressed that it worked. Wonder if it'll work for jpg images though.

well you should hope it does, because jpgs have less size, thus reducing your bandwith use.
but i have a question... if the images are catched on somones computer, does it still use bandwith from the server it is hosted on? it woulden't make sense, but i just was wondering...

I'm not sure, you'll have to understand the browser to find out the answer.
Anyway, it does work for jpg there we go, 1/10th as large without any serious quality problems...It's still rather weird though. At 99% quality: compression, I actually had 1/60th as large...but the quality was worse. Right now it's at 60% compression, go fig.
