w00t! Omg, I shoulda known that. Well RA anyway. I use blizzard as an online service, and lemme tell ya...noob's should not challenge me in Starcraft. It makes me feel bad when I realize I'm hammering a noob's only building into submission with a giant task force...

Red Alert 2 has the problem of (a) cheaters and (b) rushers.
The game just isnt that much fun anymore, so I'm back to playing Total Annihilation - yeah it may be 8 or 10 years old, and the only matching service left is *shudder* GSA, but the game is just that good.

TA? I had one major problem with that game...it took forever if everyone was built up. I swear, metal maps made the confrontations mad cool, but extremely difficult to win...Last I played, I had 2 nukes, 10 anti-nukes, 15 Vulcans, 20 Fusion Power Plants, and 5 hours of playing time...and I still hadn't won. Thankfully I had the antinukes, wouldn't want to see what happened if my brother actually hit me with a nuke.

yah i nkow why you shudder when you say GSA...
i used to play Rouge Spear compulsively, nonstop on Mplayer. Mplayer was great and i would never quit RS, only somthing did make me quit... and it was the only thing that could. its was the evil takeover of Mplayer from GSA. almost all the good players quit after that.

The longest TA round I have ever played was on Painted Desert of all places. It took six and a half hours to resolve - with a draw. I ended with something like 30 annihilators and at least 120 shooters along a line of ambushers. A had a cononade of about *scoff* 20 BBs and a vulcan or two.
We had an anti-nuclear pact going on, but my opponent kept violating it. Fortuately for me, I noticed this with the occasional peeper and manages to bomb it to bits, but tht wasnt enough to win so we eventually had to sleep and stopped.
It's the only RTS I've ever played where static artillery has a better range and firepower than mobile artillery. Like it should be.

Favorite unit in TA? Probably the shooter.
Cloakable w/superlongrange, 1hit kills on most units - even if it DID take a fusion plant to keep it cloaked. -_-; |

I found a new game to play  Earth and Beyond.. it is a lot of fun
you can get very far without having to fight which is a plus..
