I know there's a GRF extractor out there somewhere, and maybe the data folder trick still works (defeating the purpose for the repacker), so does anybody have it or have a fix for the black boxes? They're caused by the program trying to use an additive blend (but a lot of cards don't support that and so it gets converted to replacive blend). I'm asking for help...
1) A grf extractor/repackage method so I can fix the sprites and add replacive transparency instead of black (additive transparency).
2) A patch for the RO program that makes it stop asking for additive blends (somebody uses 2h quicken/LoV and I'm blind ><). |

you just put them in the ragnarok directory under the proper path (/data/subdirectory/whatever) |

yes, ive already mentioned that there are grf unpackers for beta2, i put a link up to it at one point somewhere on the forum. i can link it again if need be. I have the source codes for grf extractor (beta 1) and sprite programs made by artforz if anyone wants them, using those you should be able to do what you need if you want to invest the time and do it. If you care enough you will program the stuff yourself as they are not made yet but all the content is at your fingertips. I hear the /data thing still does work, so bleh. |

"/data" trick still works but have smaller priority nor data.grf. If file is in data.grf Client will use this file, not that one from data directory. Also if we unpack all data directory (in final beta 2 about 1,49MB) and delete data.grf game will be working normal. today i made test with diferent kinds of compresors (zip, tar, rar, gzip) and i tried to replace data.grf with other archive just renamed to grf. it doesnt work. but now i know that data.grf uses Glib. i wanna write small prog to edit content grf file without unpacking. It wont be easy because GRF file is a streamed archive.
