Ragnarok Online
WPE1.3 Tutorial
Version 2
by HackdNSlashd
Terms you will need to know:
WPE - Winsock Packet Editor
Target/Select Game - Use this too select the program.
Trace - Look at the packets you send and receive.
//If nothing shows up, go into "Options" and look at Version : 1
//change that to Version : 2
Filter - This is where you make your filters.
Send Packet - Send a packet you have, doesn't seem to work to good.
Trainer Maker - You can make a filtering program.
Options - Configure your Winsock Packet Editor.
Packet - Byte of data
Filter - A device that is made to change a packet to a different packet.
[S] box - This is the packet you sent.
[R] box - This is the packet the SERVER sent you.
Ragnarok Online - Um, Duh. I'll call this RO for short.
Methods:
Alt+Tab - This is what you use to get from Ragnarok Online to WPE. I'll call this AT for short.
Basics:
Now, start up RO. Get into the game, and find a place where it's desolate and quiet, for all you morons, a place where there isn't much going on.
Once you are there, AT to WPE. Click on select game, RAGEXE.EXE. Now, click on trace. AT back to RO, and say "a". AT back to WPE as quickly as you can. Wow! Look at what we see!!! *Packets!!!! Yay!!!
The traced packets should look somewhat like this:
SEND-> 0000 8C 00 11 00 61 73 64 66 32 30 30 30 20 3A 20 61 ....asdf2000 : a
SEND-> 0010 00 .
RECV-> 0000 8E 00 11 00 61 73 64 66 32 30 30 30 20 3A 20 61 ....asdf2000 : a
RECV-> 0010 00
Now, Lets do something with these packets instead of just staring at them.
1.Go into filters.
2.Click on a filter.
3.Count how many slots it is to 61.
4.In the filter, go to slot 16.
5.In search, top row, put 61, the packet we saw.
6.In modify, make it 62.
7.Exit the filter and turn [OFF] button to [ON] by clicking on it.
8.Go into RO and type "a".
9.If done right, in the chat it SHOULD come out as *B*
//It is not slot 16 for EVERY person. Your names are different. Basically, count how many letters in your name, then add //7(The chat packets and the 20 3A 20). So if your name is JohnBud it'd be on the 14th slot.
Fun Alternative:
1.Go into filters.
2.Click on a filter.
3.Find 20 3A 20.
4.Count the slots to the last first twenty.
5.It's ninteen in asdf's case.
6.Make the filter search for 20 3A 20 and modify to 00 00 00.
7.Turn filters on.
8.Say something, and it shows up as just your name.
Mediocre:
1.Trace the packets when you get a new skill, and level that skill up.
2.It should come out something as, 13 00 id 01
3.Get a ID list of all the skills.
4.Change the ID to the new skill in your class. You've got a pre-earned skill. w00t.
Advancing:
1.Buy a Wing of Fly.
2.Trace the packets when you use the wing of fly.
3.Go into Filters.
4.Make a filter.
5.Search for BF 00 00, Modify to the Wing of Fly packet.
6.Set the Modify Packet Length to twenty.
7.Walah, free random warping.
//BF 00 00 is the ALT+1, it ups as this, BF 00 01 BF 00 02 etc. The max is BF 00 08 I believe.
Now we understand WPE1.3 a little bit more, and you can trace your own packets and make your OWN hacks. Wow, you can get some pride. Small or big, stupid or cute, evil or angelic, always tell us your hacks.
Well, anyways, happy packeting.
have fun.

Now if only they had a tutorial/program that worked in XP. I know my friend can hack in XP, it just takes some extra code that I didn't understand. |

actually, since win2k, window's has been getting easier and easier to "hack" on. The extended support of raw sockets on windows XP allows ANY user to do things such as DoS attacks, tcp hijacking, etc. Look into Winsock2 and raw socket suport on windows XP, you'll find plenty of reading material (good and bad, heh). |
