The whisper/party system seems to be down a lot since the server move, and it's been accredited to server instability, but the server's running beautifully today and the whisper/party is down again.

Which server are you on, Kaede? I'm not having any problems with it at all, on loki, right now anyway.

Heh, well, for the most of the past week loki has been ok, but for awhile it was at least as bad as chaos, really, or so I was finding it.
I kind of wonder if when they moved, they might have used a less powerful machine for whatever server handles the inter-server messaging system for each cluster, because there doesn't seem to be a much better explanation... unless it's on the same machine as login, in which case all the bots hammering login (and possibly some morons trying to brute force accounts, it seems worse lately than normal usage + bots would account for) would be a real problem for it. Yet, loki's messaging at least wasn't acting up the past couple days, really, so I doubt it has anything to do with that.

well, it IS an instability issue, it just seems that they probably aren't telling the whole story on /why/ it's an instability issue... maybe I'm just too much of a cynic for that to bother me.
