I think Ragnarok should change the effects of safety wall... for the highest requirement spell for a mage the spell is not quite as usefull as it can be.
u need level 7 napalm and level 4 soul strike.. plus everytime u cast it. It requires a blue gem.
for a shieldthat can't move anywhere and such requirements its pretty pathetic.
Safety wall should be a shield mages can cast around them and move around with it. And have it reduce physical damage or protects them from getting stunned. It would only make sense because almost every other class has an ability to help them get around mages only have offense but that's not always enough because its hard to deal with aggressive monsters.
if u look at every class:
swordman: endure
theifs: dodge
acolytes: angelus and speed up
merchants: that ability where they can deal damage with money
archers: well they don't need much they jsut fire arrows and monsters barely touch them
mage: nothing firewall which hardly does anything now... and safety wall the highest requirement spell that does absolutely crap. |

Indeed, a lot of skills could use changes
*cough*mammonite*cough*
perhaps safety wall should be just like endure. I'm pretty sure if mages had the ability to be hit and not have their spells cancelled they'd use that skill more often
On the other hand, the wizard class has a new defense skill called ice wall. It'll be interesting to see what that's like |

Errr...actually I think mages are the most unbalanced class. Nobody else can deal 2500+ damage in one action. Sure, mages have trouble in aggro areas, but that's why the party system exists...

my merchant could use some new skills, he's the ragnarok punching bag *sigh*
seriously, I agree, there are alot of skills that could use a revision, I wonder why gravity doesnt change things, I bet it isnt because of lack of feedback from users.

that's not entirely true... but still safety wall's effect should be changed what kinda high requirement spell is so useless... i mean it even has a time duration on it... |

Would you want to walk around a field with fifty different Safety Wall spells in it?
If you use it right (At least from my understanding, I've never used a mage and tested this), you're practically invincible. |

Nothing against my Safetywall. 2 out of my 6 or 7 Orc Hero mvps were Solomvps using Safetywall.....
But Gravy should make a mark on the ground for effect off mode. Last time i got killed, cause i couldnt find my SW Field |

Yup, only thing you could do in alpha was hack 'n slash and use pots. Though having SW deal damage to things that hit it would be kinda nifty, otherwise Firewall is 10x the spell SW will ever be. |

Heh, it's hack 'n slash if you're soloing, but if you spend most of your time with party members (like I enjoy doing) it's alot more fun. |
