hi are you familar with the program iris ?
i know how to scan /sniff for the vavle on RO
but i am not sure what am i supost to look for .. and how the packet thing works
and what to do next.. can you plz explain .. thanks |

need to know packets.... learn about packets just basic stuff.
its' pretty hard for anyone to explain, u just need to research on ur own |

whenever you look at a packet from RO, only look at the section entitled "Data" you can see what each section does by a little expandable option list thing on the left of the packet information. If the data section is 0, just skip that packet. Thats the real data being sent, from there you can do one action, then see what packets are sent and received, then record how they work. |

Yes, I have them all mapped. Rather wouldn't release the info until all the holes are patched though. |

look at the ragnarok servers ip and your up, and set up an ip filter both ways for both ips. |

for my filter should it be set as PPP frame ? and
for RO what should it be set for ?.. EGP,ENCAP,ICMP,IGMP,OSPFIGP,TCP,UDP?

#1 try to keep it all in the same thread, creating multiple ones is pointless.
#2 you don't have to set ANYTHING on the filter but the IPs.
It is all done through TCP.
[edit] play around with it, try to figure it out yourself, teaching yourself something always reinforces it and the understanding much better in the end.
