Just search the web for a packet sniffer.

ngrep is areally good packet sniffer. Its GPL too, open source, 100% free
I havent got it to work under windows though, but it works great on unix systems.
So if you have a unix comp in your network and have hubbed (not switched) network
I recommend you to use that one and ssh/telnet to your unix comp and sniff.

You can always try the windows version though, may work. check http://tcpdump.org
and look for the hompage for libpcap for win32. I think that page has some other
packge sniffers too.

Most packages sniffers I'v seen for windows systems has a really lausy filter system.
Ngrep has a very very good one. Like

ngrep 'regex pattern matching' tcp and port 5001 and src 192.168.1.11 and etc

happy sniffing ^_~

You can try it the hard way install sygwin, and run it from there, that will probably work.

I use WinXP and Ethereal works fine for me, I think. I have no idea what the hell
the program is telling me when I read the code. I'm not a code type person (As
you can see since I use WinXP)
